Tuxedomoon's bassist and co-composer, Peter Principle Dachert, 63, has died. He was found in his room at Les Ateliers Claus in Brussels, where Tuxedomoon has been preparing a new tour and new music. He was the apparent victim of a heart attack or stroke.
Bandmate Blaine Reininger informed the fans with a facebook post.
Bassist Peter Principle (now Peter Dachert) joined the band and in 1979 they released the single "No Tears", which remains a post-punk cult classic.
Tuxedomoon released several albums on Crammed Discs and were set to play a number of live dates including Dekmantel Festival in Amsterdam and Magasin 4 in Brussels.
