The 2017 Red Bull Elektropedia Awards came to a conclusion yesterday evening during a live show in the beautiful Flagey building in Brussels. The full list of winners reads as a resumé of the current nightlife, urban and electronic music scene in Belgium. Here are 10 recent vinyl records made by 10 winners of The Red Bull Elektropedia Awards.

1. Romeo Elvis & Le Motel - Morale 2

With a whopping collection of 5 first spots (‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Best Album’ for ‘Morale 2’, ‘Best Live’, ‘Best Song’ for ‘Diable’ and the Chase award) – 6 if you count in Le Motel’s ‘Best Producer’ award – they are the absolute stars of the night.

2. Soulwax - From Deewee

The 2016-17 season also marked the colossal comeback of Soulwax: 6 rightfully earned awards. With a first place in the ‘Best Label’ category for their brainchild DEEWEE, plus silver and bronze medals in the ‘Best Song’ (for ‘Do You Want Into Get Into Trouble’), ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Live’, ‘Best Album’ for ‘From DEEWEE’ and a second place in the Belgian DJ Top 100 (as their 2manydjs DJ-moniker) they have secured their role as one of Belgium’s most influential cross-genre band.

3. Amelie Lens & Farrago - Weight Of The Land

In a year that marked her definite international breakthrough, Amelie Lens racked up 4 impressive awards, most notably a first place in the DJ Top 100, as well as second and third places in big categories like ‘Best Song’ for her track ‘In Silence’. Although this track didn't get a vinyl release yet, lovers of the black gold can get her most recent EP on the Italian label Arts.

4. Lefto & Free The Robots - Karavan

Lefto takes home the gold medal for ‘Best Party’ with his ‘Lefto Presents’ events, the silver medal for ‘Best Video’ with his ‘Lefto in Transit’ series and the bronze medal in ‘Best Radio’ for his Studio Brussel show. The tastemaker released an album this year alongside beatmakers Free The Robots.

5. Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Charlotte De Witte Rework)

Charlotte De Witte was voted second in the 'best radio' category, fourth in the 'best Belgian dj' category and she produced the second best remix of last year with her take on the classic Bonzai tune 'The First Rebirth' by Jones & Stephenson.

6. Zwangere Guy - Zwangerschapsverlof, Vol.3

Brusseleir and omnipresent Zwangere Guy takes home this year’s ‘Best Breakthrough Artist/DJ/Producer’ award. His mixtape 'Zwangerschapsverlof, vol.3' from last Spring is still receiving raving reviews.

7. Coely - Different Waters

Queen Coely's latest album received two awards. It was voted as the third best album and won the golden medal in the 'Marc Meulemans category. This category rewards the best artwork. The stunning album cover was designed by Jesse Willems and Wind Waait.
